"You have to wonder at times what you're doing out there. Over the years, I've given myself a thousand reasons to keep running, but it always comes back to where it started. It comes down to self-satisfaction and a sense of achievement." -Steve Prefontaine

The Day After

Waking up this morning, I expected to be sore. Along with the run yesterday, I had done 30 push ups, 30 side crunches, 30 "swimmings," 30 tricep pulls, and some other exercises. I expected a full body sore.

And that's pretty much what I got, but surprisingly, I'm actually feeling pretty good. Even though my muscles are sore and fatigued and my next run day won't be until Tuesday (work schedule and recovery time), I do feel good. I haven't lost anything on the scale yet, but since I'm building muscle, that's to be expected. I feel better about myself though. I'm headed down to the Scantic River with my friends, Wesley and Rachael, today and I'm sure I'll be slipping into my bikini. I don't need to hide and that's the best feeling in the world.

Breakfast was a bowl of Cherrios, a handful of blueberries, some fat free milk, and a cup of coffee with my usual Almond Joy creamer (my guilty pleasure in the mornings.)

I stretched out my muscles a bit so they don't feel so stiff for very long. Today will be a busy day exercise wise even without runs because I've got riding my horse and the river planned today. This morning I've already started my morning with moving bookcases with my dad and stripping off old wallpaper!

My motivation for the day: I AM BEAST.

Weight: Still 134.
Goal Weight: 115
Feeling: Excellent, but sore
Sleep: An entire 10 hours (with some crazy dreams, but they were funny by the time morning came around)
